The RSB Group has adopted Quality Management system to improve its overall performance. From the inception three and a half decades ago the Group has been emphasizing on improved quality.

Started with ISO 9002 certification (in 90’s) to ISO/TS 16949 certifications (in 2003), the aim has been to improve quality, thereby improving the organizational efficiency and effectiveness. Defect prevention and reduction of waste and variation are the aim of the Quality Management systems adopted by RSB.

RSB has adopted TQM and TPS and has met the norms of ISO/TS 16949 standard. The concepts of TQM are retention, improvement and break through. TPS is for identifying and eliminating waste and variation in the overall supply chain (linking the supplier with the ultimate Customer).

  • It is applicable for relevant automotive production & service part organization

ISO / TS 16949 : 2002 implementation at RSB Group

  • The units supplying to automotive customer have ISO / TS 16949 : 2002 certification, while the units supplying to non automotive customer have ISO 9001 : 2000 certification. It is used as a tool for development of quality management system for continual improvement & defect prevention in all processes & also reduction of variation & wastages in supply chain.

  • Implementation started in 2003.

  • Customer satisfaction & employee satisfaction was considered in Phase I, while Phase II is considering supplier satisfaction.

  • A corporate coordinator has been appointed & leading consultancy has been hired to provide guidance to all units. These initiatives were taken at all units simultaneously.

  • The Group has formed a strategic alliance with various quality initiatives like TQM, Lean manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, Kanban, Mistake proofing, encouraging best performer & etc.

  • All units are committed to adapt & continually maintain the ISO / TS 16949 : 2002 requirements.
